Whats your Explorer worth?

I would assume scrap price but since I can't seem to ever sell vehicles I would probably have to pay someone to take it .

Thank goodness it's worth enough to me sentimentally that it will never happen!

To the OP, I've never really seen even clean 2nd gens go private party for over $4k. Realistically one with under 100k miles and clean is still only worth about $3k max. (IMO).

Id have to agree and say i bet i could get about that too for mine. Explorers run for a decently high price around here but why would i sell it? Id loose my daughter running up to me when i go to pick her and my wife up from work (wife works childcare) yelling "Daddy truck!" and my wife would not be happy because she would have to ride in the Saturn.

My three year old girl says "Lets take the Consplorer". Why, we have not been able to figure out, but it's always Consplorer. Therefore, the Explorer is priceless.

Was at the dealership getting some parts, and for grins I asked the appraiser what he thought the rig was worth. He looked at real quick and said..."$500 tops, you ruined it with all those mods". Shoulda punched him in the kidney right there and than.

I would say some what priceless, I'd never get what I put into the truck. Scary part about this truck is that its everywhere, a bunch were killed but Ford didn't change most of the body from 95 to 01? so it being my second, I am sure if I had the chance to snag an 01 v8, I would. I have met a few people from the board because of my truck, and its a good dynamic of enthusiasts.

Weren't the second gens the most traded in for Cash For Clunkers? Even with that, I see 2nd Gens all over the freakin' place! Apparantly Ford did something right.

id feel comfortable getting $5500-$6000 for the Eddie. Prolly closer to 7500$ after what I have planned for it this spring/summer.

Oh I know. I know. Almost just as bad was a Mazda B(2000?-the Ranger knock-off) with about 40k orig. miles loaded, beautiful shape, 4X4 and a stick. I would paid buku bucks for a nice Limited, then someone goes to trade it in for a car that they won't be able to make the payments on.

Honestly I tried to sell the 2000 but nobody wanted it with the miles it has soooo.......I now have new shocks(all 5),wires,plugs,headlight lenses,rear wiper arm and 3 O2 sensors ready to be put on it.

Then a new front drive shaft and maybe a different front differential if the noise isn't the drive shaft.But the shaft is hammered anyway.

my little 1 never called the f350 daddy truck, and she doesnt call the saturn anything but dirty looks and grumbles, she also doesnt like grandmas kia, its just "Cathys car" but not in a happy tone. Daddy truck! is her preferred ride. So agreed my explorer is priceless too. Both my girls love it, so i tolerate its bs rofl ok ok i love my explorer too, just not when it breaks down.

Get in line bud : But seriously, the looks I get from kids and people when I drive by school is just awesome. The feeling of me driving by some girls I like with the windows down and a good song blasting out of my JVC stereo is just priceless to me. I know its not as cute as having my little ones enjoy it, but its pretty darn close to me
