WHEEL QUESTION for EXPLORER 2WD

Wondering if a set of Mustang wheels can be put on a 2WD Explorer. Looking to put on 17" With most likely 235-60-17 tires ? Input from experience most welcome.

Some older mustangs were 4 lug, but if they are 5 lug they will fit. As for backspacing, not too sure. Exactly what kind are they?
