Howdy some of y'all may remember me(sold my X a bit ago and bought a dodge ram-if ya want details on the ram lemme know) but still have an X in the family (2005 explorer stock 4x4 4.0SOHC) Broke a rear wheel stud and i finally got the old broken one out and have been trying all day to get thee new one in far enough it won't spin.. That doesn't seem to being happening any time soon. Any helpful hints/idea? I beat on it with a BFH and a sledge for hours and it only goes in so far then won't budge(like a 1/4in more to go if that) and then i try to put the lug nut back on and it ends up spinning when i hit tightness. Btw this is on the right(pass) rear side, i have the wheel bearinng off and laying on the ground, im almost about to replace the whole damn thing...

Thanks for any help guys!

P.s what was ford thinking? I know on my dodge a stud takes all of 10min to deal with)

cant help ya with replacing but does the X have aftermarket wheels?

Washers between the nut and the rotor, or use the wheel if you can get a bite on the stud.
