Wheel Studs Broken.... AGAIN!

Driving to the lake today, boat in tow. The explorer started shuddering, I pulled over and my passenger side rear wheel had 4 broken studs. Had to get it towed. sucks

aftermarket wheels, or spacers??? seems to be a problem if theyre not hubcentric

Mine were stock aluminum wheels. I think the problem is with aluminum having a different expansion/contraction rate. Several heat cycles, and the lug nuts basically back off. The cure is to retorque them several times (at least once) after installation, or to just overtorque them upon initial installation.
