I searched, then i read the first 12 pages of the wheel forum and still didn't see what i needed to know. Since I'm asking about a 94 XLT 4x4 i figured i should post here, so many sub forums I'm not totally sure.

I wanted to upgrade to newer wheels and my buddy got a few explorers in today and one has the wheels i want. He sent me this crappy cell phone pic but those are the wheels I'm looking for.

I know the bolt pattern is the same but i have auto hubs and the explorer they are on is a 2wd. Since mine is a 4wd i have no idea if they will fit over the hub in the front. I don't want to drive out there and then find out they don't fit. If they don't fit it's still cool because he also got a 97 Sport with the same wheels as my '94 but they have brand new Dayton Timberline A/T II tires on them. Either way it's only gonna cost me a hundred bucks but i would prefer the newer style wheels.

I don't think they made different center holes for two and four wheel. So yes they should fit.

I put my stock wheels on my buddy's '94 Ranger. I just bored out the center caps to accomodate the hubs.

Thank you for searching first for your answer.

Yes, if you are new to the site it can be a little over whelming.

I've been here for 5-1/2 years & I am a moderator here. I still get confused at times.
