Yes they can be run in the rain and yes it brings a whole new meaning to URE when it is wet. Whole different level of difficulty. Hey Lee what is you phone number....I will call you tomorrow afternoon around 7 or so, so we can figure out somewhere to meet.

dont worry guys I have an alternate route to make some trail slightly easier to start out with. If you want more difficult as the day goes on we can turn and go uphill.

I dont think it will be pouring. It will most likely be a few late afternoon thundershowers if anything. Last report i got from Troy, NC was 30% on saturday and 40% on sunday.

i am still in, the rain in fayetteville is crappy right now, its my wofe birthday and leaving the resturant lightning hit a tree then the tree landed on my front bumpers.. damage = nothing major need to fix a few scratchs and my kc lights.. later

Just another curiosity, what are your guys plans for lunch/dinner? I don't want to buy more food to bring along than I need. I'm assuming we'll stop along the trail on Saturday to grub a little, but what about tomorrow?

Yes Saturday I am bringing some lunch and snack food along with alot of drinks cause its gonna get warm out there. Hope everyone is ready to have some fun.

I'm bringing abotu 20-30 burgers for saturday night, ill prolly eat at Eldorado OUtpost tomorrow night. I am bringing a Hogie on the trail saturday alogn with some water and drinks. I eat poptarts or granola bars for breakfast.

Sounds good. I will proly NOT eat saturday night depending on what time I decide to head out. Do you want to eat breakfast in the Eldorado parking lot and air downa nd everything there. Get passes and get everyone a map and let them know the path we are trying to take.

I have maps for everyone, Airdown and whatnot in the parking lot, Eat soem Breakfast when you want. I got a season pass but everyone else will need passes. Troy your welcome to some of my burgers.

man, its gonna be close for me... im still doing some work on my truck. i still want to head up tomorrow but i may be a little later than 5 arriving. and sunday i have to be back here by 4 becuase i HAVE to go work up in louisville KY... i have to tear down a 150ton crane and get it ready to set up in dayton ohio on tuesday... so id have to leave fairly early on sunday to make it back by 4... mapquest says its a 6 hour drive for me...
