I am thinking of running 31's with no TT. I did have to do an AAL to get my 97 AWD to sit level so maybe it sits a little higher in the front than some. Do the 31's have a better chance of not rubbing if they are on the factory 7 inch wide wheels? I was looking at doing a wheel/tire package on my 97 and the wheels I want to run are 15x8 with a -19mm offset 3.66 backspacing, I can also get them in a 15x7 -6mm offset, 3.70 backspacing. What do you guys think would have the least chance of rubbing between all 3?

Do you think the aftermarket wheels would have more chance of rubbing than the stockers?

An aftermarket 15x8 should be ok. I had that before. I had to trim a little tab of plastic off of the giant flares I have but if you have no flares or just the trim you should be fine. A 31x10.50 "should" fit regardless unless you get a real crazy back spacing but most are 3.5-4" which puts the wheel out a bit wider and those wheels you listed would be a safe bet, I'd go the 8" width.

I have seen a lot of guys here run 31x10.50's on7 '' wheels. Not my cup of tea for sure. 31x10.50's fit much better on 8" wheels. on 7" wheels they need to be run at lower air pressure to get anyways near a correct contact patch, or you wear the center of the tread. I have had that very experience with BFG all Terrains

i don't have to air mine down to get the contact patch correct on the factory rims, i did the chalk test and it was good at 36 psi,,

I just ordered tires only, so I am going to stick with the stock rims. After doing some searching it seems like a lot of people here run that setup and it seems good.
