The fifth shock is not a shock, but a dampener. It's purpose was to get rid of vibration, however that really wasn't the fix. You don't really need that dampener, and if fact if you go 4wheeling, it will severly limit your articulation on the rear end. you can get rid of it with no adverse affect. Don't know about that? Take it off and try it. if you don't like it, then put it back on.
