I've tried eBay, but to no avail. I dropped in at the local dealer this morning and hit the Parts Department. Out of stock. Even if they *did* have them, it would cost $27.40 (which seems a tad high for 3 letters).

Any place else I can look? I've had no luck with Google. :(

I think they used the same ones on the mid 90s t-birds too. If that helps at all. :p

I tried them a few days ago...

The "AWD" emblem is shown in the parts list (on the left), but not in the description/order area (on the right) once you click on it, which I'm guessing means it's out of stock. There's no way to select/add it to the shopping cart.

Wait. Nevermind. I'm thinking of the V8 emblems.

Have you got a V8, how about the 1996,1997 V8 all wheel drive emblems from a 96,97 Explorer? I bought them from Ford for my 98 Mountaineer. Good luck,

I've got a 2002 XLT 4X4. It didn't come with the AWD emblem (which is why I don't have one), but since it's 4WD, I think the emblem is justified. :D

I saw a 2002-2005 Limited the other day and it had an AWD emblem on it. That's what started the ball rolling. ;)

email torrie he will hook you up

Well, I contacted Torrie. He has the emblem for $19.43, which is better than Ford's price of $27.40, BUT after $7.99 for shipping, it comes out to be 27.42 which is MORE than the Ford price! :(

Of course, at Ford I'd have to pay sales tax, which would make the total $29.59, so Torrie's price is cheaper in the end.

Still more than I want to pay for a 3 letter emblem!

:::EDIT:::

Call off the hounds!

It looks like my search is over. I made alternate shipping arrangements with Torrie that were a good deal cheaper than the rate quoted on the website. Since he has them in stock, it'll be cheaper than I can get it for locally, and I am a man of little patience, the deal is as good as done. :D

Thanks to all those who offered suggestions and tips! :thumbsup:
