I didn't want to ask this question but i cant find and answer. I have a 1999 explorer sport it has a bank one sensor 1 code. when I went to check my o2 sensor it was unplugged and I am unable to find the cable to plug it in to I have spent a couple hours searching I believe it is not there. I wonder if the person who owned it before me took it out. Can someone help me?

Don't know about the Sport, but on my 97 EB 4-dr the O2 sensor plugs are all close together on top of the transmission. Lots of threads about cutting a hole under the center console, but I can get mine in from underneath.

Which engine do you have?

I have a 99 Sport as well with the ohv engine and the 2 front o2 sensors are connected to the wiring harness around the tranny tunnel... The rear o2 sensor has a connector over the top of the tranny in the rear near the extension housing...

If you have a sohc engine then the rear o2 sensor connection will be more toward the top rear of the tranny...
