I was installing a new HU and must have had something hooked up wrong or loose and touching something else. anyway now I can't get it to work at all. I thought that I might have blown a fuse, so I checked that it was fine. I also checked the HU in another X and it worked fine. So now I don't know what I may have damaged in the wiring .

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

No, no power at all.

Which fuse did you check? The one on the radio, or the one in the truck?

There is a fuse on the HU, there is also other fuses on the truck itself that may have been blown that are used by the stereo, check all of them.

Since the HU worked in another vehicle, I would concentrate on finding the lack of power problem with youtr truxk.

Put a voltmeter on the power lead to the HU first.

Good luck.....

I checked the fuse on the truck for the radio and it was good. maybe i'll check again to make sure. but the radio is working, and the fuse there is good i checked that too. It has to be a fuse somewhere though right?

just hook it up right to the battery that will tell you if the radio is still working. then hunt down the power problem in the truck.
