Anybody know where the IAT is on a 2000 mountaineer with a 5.0, it is not on the intake and the truck has a p0112 code among others.
Funny thing is with the scanner hooked up the intake air temp seems to be reading fine. 93 degrees after a five minute warm up with a 75degree ambient temp.

The IAT is in the intake tube down stream from the MAF.

that's what I would have thought but it's not there.
There is nothing between the maf and the tps.

there is also no place for one on the plastic intake tube so it didn't fall out either,
could it be combined with the maf?

How many pins does your MAF plug have? My '97 has 4. If you have 6 then I think the IAT might be combined with the MAF.

yeah it doesn't look anything like my 97'
this maf has quite a few wires but I won't know for sure until I go look at it again, I think it had at least 6

Integrated MAF/IAT sensor

You have an integrated MAF/IAT sensor. The outer pins on the 6 pin connector (E&F) are the ones for the IAT sensor. The Gray wire is the signal and the gray/red wire is the return which does not go to ground. It is common with other sensor returns (TPS, O2s, DPFE, etc.)

thank you
