i just got my new trans in, this is the 4th since i've owned the truck. when i removed the old trans, i rounded off two of the bolts that mount the bellhousing to the block and i don't want to use the remainder to avoid future problems. i went to napa and then the local ford dealorship and neither had in stock, could tell me the model # or the size os these bolts.
does anyone know where to find these 1/2 high grade bolts. my next step is to measure em and look at a bolt web page and match the size and tread.

Get some cheap from a wrecking yard after they pull the tranny out of an Explorer.....

I wanna say 8x1.25 or 10x1.25 I can't rememeber. They are defintaly metric bellhousing bolts, They're are also 3 differnt lenghts. The top 2 are the shortest and the bottom two, the oil pan bolts, are the longest. The rest are the same length. Later Doug904.
