I posted this in the main forum, but I didn't get much reply, and since my truck is a '94, I figured I should try it here. Hope that's ok with the mods.

I've been looking for the plugs to replace the rubber ones on my manual tranny. I can't find them anywhere around here. Does anyone know where I can buy these doohickies?

These are the parts I think I need...
Dorman #555-108
or
Dana #219-3502

One shop said that they don't even have that Dorman # - like they stopped making it or something. Does anyone know the size of the plugs required to go in?

Also...

What is everybody's preferred brand of clutch kit?

Borg Warner?

LUK Gold?

Most major parts suppliers (ie..NAPA, Car Quest and possibly even Checker) carry Dorman products.

As for clutch kits, LUK is decent, BW is a step up and Centerforce is even better.

Well, after calling everywhere locally, including Napa, Autozone, Smothers, Pepboys, etc., no one had it. I finally found it online at Kragen, but it wasn't available for order anymore. I needed 3 of 'em. I found 1 at three different Kragen stores, so I had to cruise all around to get them, but I finally got all three. Crazy. If anyone ever needs this part, some good info about it is that it's a 16.2MM expansion plug. Hopefully that detail will help in case you have to find a different brand or something. I couldn't find that measurement anywhere.

As for clutch kits, I haven't figured that out just yet, but it looks like I'll go with LuK or BW...

Thanks for the suggestions...
