where to get cheap 00M12 kit?....

Went to my local dealer and he quoted a price of $95.00. I was thinking these were going for 40-50 bucks. Any ideas on a cheaper place to get one would be appreciated. Thanks

The reason it costs so much is it includes the left hydraulic tensioner (7U3Z6K254B) that sells for $54.99 from them. If you don't need the tensioner then you can just buy the upper and lower gaskets. I don't know if Ford sells the restrictor and the galley plug as separate items.

I thought the Ranger got the SOHC V6 in 2001. Does your 2000 have it?

I'll check their website and order a kit. You know, I haven't even looked at my info in my signature in so long, I don't even have the 2000 Ranger anymore. Your right, that was a 4.0 OHV, now using a 1999 Explorer with SOHC. thanks for the info

google 00M12. saw one for $49.xx on EBAY (?). don't know about shipping. if you can find one on AMAZON, shipping is free w/Super Saver. i don't suggest you do the job w/out replacing the tensioner though. the tensioner is at least 60% of the problem (maybe more).
