Can someone give me some idea of where I would need to go to get the rear bearing pressed into the hub on my 02 explorer? I'm in the Winston-Salem NC area. Who does this type of work?

If you have a Pep Boys up there or I think a Napa can.

Yea we have both but I read on here from a few that Napa quit doing it. I'll check them anyway. Thanks!

You can try just about any machine shop or auto repair shop that has at least a 12 ton bearing press.
I was lucky enough to have the work done in the machine shop here at my plant. I can tell you that my machinist had to custom turn adapters to get perfect coverage. So, the better equipped the shop the easier it will go.

You're going to have to pay someone to have it done so why not go to your ford dealership? They have the tools and the know how.

The cost of having someone press the bearings and a dealer doing the entire job is night and day costwise. I'm doubting a dealer will press these as a standalone job.

Try a construction equipment dealership- Cat, Deere, etc... ;)

Thanks for all the help everyone. I ended up taking it to a local machine shop.
