is this an MA audio amp by chance?

ahh much better choice than MA audio

I'm gonna go out on a limb and call you crazy. MA Audio is quality stuff. Visonik better than MA? Your credibility is collapsing with me, sir.

lol....

all are part of the anaba group. Ever look at a 4000D inside, either brand, know what a 4000D is?

I know the 4000 is pretty much the same thing, Visonik and MA use it. I also heard the Visonik 4000 draws more current and has around .5 lower SPL. These are competition amps anyways.

going from personal experience the visonik amps were nothing special...but out some big power for cheap. Good for an all out SPL car on a tight budget.

Ive only played with one MA audio amp....cant remember then model right now but it was one of the super long ones with the handles on each end. Put out good power but not anywhere close to rated.

maybe each company's products have changed since..but i can only comment on personal experience

eh I was talkin to wagonized, but whatever....

btw they are the same amps, internally, with one exception. That being the clif amps voltage handling, it will handle a touch more than 18v ;) Other than that, you have heatsink diff's, the ma's the best "ventilated", mine never get's hot even at 1 ohm street setup. While the visonik/clif can get very hot!

Oh yeah, the chrome handled ones are at least 3-4 years old now, and there have been mucho improvements since, dont be afraid to try another one out.

yea i might have to give em a try. ive got my viper 2500s now and trying to build a drag car. but after thats all overwith ill have to give it a shot

yeah my visonik gets very hot... i tested the impedance of my x.. subs (w/ a DMM), and for some reason it read out as 1.5ohm (in parallel)... but then again, im not sure if the DMM was right, there was no current going through, and i disconnected the speaker wire from the sub box terminal same reading...

is that right? i thought it was supposed to be dual 2 ohm terminals... but looks like it is running as if its a dual 3 ohm. or is the DMM wrong?

depends what frequency is being played...the impedence changes

no frequency... it was off... last time i remember taking electronics class i was told to not have current going through a circuit when testing impedance cuz it throws it off... amazing what you remember, and also what you wish you would have remembered from class

hmm you could try calling RE directly. They're very good to deal with, cant remember the guys name i dealt with but he was very helpful

probably David at RE....
and unless times have changed, do like was said call, dont try e-mail less you dont need a response within a month.
