I would like to know what you guys think about these code readers. The Equus Innova 1003, Equus Innova 3100c,and the actron code reader. They are about a 100 dollars. I don't know how to include links though.

I've had the Innova 3100 for a few years and it's been pretty useful however, I just ordered the OBDII Proscan Diagnostic software http://www.myscantool.com/ (to be used with a laptop). These enable you monitor actual sensor outputs and does quite a bit more.

Do you know if the Laptop Software (ProScan) can read all error codes from the Ford Explorer? Once of the other members was mentioning that most diagnostic scan tools won't scan for GEM codes from the Explorer. Don't know what exactly that pertains to.

I'll let you know once I get it. I should be getting it sometime this week or next. AutoTap software from another company has an option that does include the enhanced parameters for the specific makes i.e. Ford, GM, Chrysler.
