Which do you guys like better?

So, which rims do you like better for my X? The first option are the 17" 03 Cobra rims with 275/55/17 Pirelli Scorpion Zero's. The second option are 18" Saleen Style rims with 285/50/18 Pirelli Scorpion Zero's. The pics aren't that good, but what do you guys think and why?

i like the bottom pic better, i dont know why. i guess its because it fills the fenders more and makes it kinda look lowered and not original. by the way nice lookin x

I guess one fear is bending the 18's. Bent one of the wheesl on my last set of 18's. I figure the 17's will also be stronger because they are factory Ford wheels. Factory wheels tend to be stronger in my own personal experience. The cool part is that the 17's as so wide(9") that I can run a 275 on them. The offset is like 24mm so I don't think I will have any rubbing problems, except at full turn. Keep the comments coming!

i dont see how you could bend an 18" with a 285/50 on it unless you were to do some offroading. ive got a much shorter/less sidewall tire than that on my front.

i have those same saleen style rims on 245 55 18 tires, they look a lot better in person, i'd go with the replica's, and are the replica's made by Eagle Alloy?

You put 245mm tires on a 9" rim!?!? That is way too small. Yes they are the Eagle replicas.

But that would (1) hurt handling and (2) throw off my speedo. And you can't just get speedo gears for my X. It is all digital now.

Xploda01 - Did you get such a narrow tire to avoid rubbing? Does it rub anyway?

Saleens... agreed, they fill the fenderwell and look a little nicer IMHO.
