Just got the truck w/ 69000 miles on it and I'm sure no one has ever run any injector cleaner through it.

What do you think is the best brand?

BG's 44K is a good additive

Seafoam

Watch the STP commercial sometime. They say "a clean injector is better than a dirty injector." As they are showing the injectors spray. "Use STP." Never once do they say STP actualy cleans injectors.
Unless you are experiancing some fuel problems any cleaner is probably a waste of money.

Hey Aldive, wouldn't you think a few treatments of good old 2oz actone/10gal gas would do the trick for cleaning the injectors and the rest of the fuel system just as well as the bottled cleaners?

I can't say that it will nor can I say that it won't.

I seriously doubt that they are a waste of anything ( tome or money ); preventative maintenance is always prudent.

Further, if you are having injector woes, its probably too late for the FI cleaners to be much help.

Marvel Mystery oil, Sea Foam.

Aldive, do you mix the acetone and the FP60 stuff into your tank at the same time? I would be afraid that those two volatile substances together along with the Salt/Air mixture and that Florida sun might combine to cause a serious rift in the time space continuum! You need to be careful down there with your Frankenstein experiments or we may have to send Jack Bowers down there to keep an eye on you! ;)

Kem, and OTC make a pressurized cleaning kit that is connected directly onto the Schraeder valve (fuel port). This is a more concentrated, and direct set up. The vehicle actually idles on this chemical.

Berrynans B12 Chemtool, then run a few tanks of fuel then Seafoam.

I would run BG 44K or Redline fuel system treatment personally.
Might consider a new fuel filter after the treatment with those miles.

I've always heard good things about SEAFOAM!!!!!! Alot of the import guys use it.

id trust aldive, he knows his stuff. about the stp...ive tried it and thought it actually did help a little. but im sure theres better stuff out there.

stands up and swears on Berrymans fuel injector cleaner..

I like Valvolines complete fuel system cleaner. Its supposed to clean from the gas tank to the valves. I use it twice a year in all of my vehicles since it came out years ago. I can't say it works or not but I can say that at least I haven't had any problems with my fuel systems being dirty or my injectors being clogged.
I know that if your injectors are not clogged you don't need to add anything to clean them but just maybe the cleaners do keep them clean so you don't have any clogging.
For about $20.00 a year for each vehicle I will keep using it.
