Which HVAC assembly do I have. w/ATC or w/o ATC? I have 3 knobs on the controls. I think mine went out because I had the blower checked and thats fine, and the relay seems to be ok. The rear A/C works fine. So Im thinking its the front controls, and Im looking for one to order... ;)

Sounds like w/o "ATC". I assume that means "automatic temperature control". There is an auto one out there on some Explorers (Eddie Bauers and Limited I believe) that use the high tech version of HVAC. The three knob version is "low-tech" version and is on most Explorers and Rangers.

You can get them for between $20-$25 on eBay all the time. Much cheaper than ordering new.

Yeah. You have the manual A/C. Only Eddie Bauers and Limiteds have that option. What exactly is the problem??

No Air...

No air is coming out of the vents what so ever. I took it to Pep Boys to have it checked out and they said the blower was still good. I checked the relay by replacing it with another relay of the same amps. And still no air. So I figured it had to be a bad switch. Usually the A/C will only work on one setting if the relay is bad, and so I figured the switch is the culprit.

So no air at any speed, not even the highest setting?? I was thinking you may not get the low and medium settings. If that's the case, you probably have a bad switch. If you get it to work at high setting, then you may have a bad resistor.
