which one? rack or wheels

hey all.. Im a student with limited money. and im either going to get a Surco Roof rack and adapter bracket which will run around $200 for the rack and brackets. OR I might get some 15x8 Rock Crawler Series 51 or something along that black steel kind of wheel... Let me know what would be best in yalls opinion! thanks

what do you need the rack for?...lights?....you can use the stock rack.....what size tires do you have?....

yea i was wanting the roof rack for the lights because ive seen them on other ex's and they look really good... i have 33x12.50x15

In my opinion the wheels would be completely for bling factor. The rack has some functionality.

Don't buy the surco light mounts tho... Thats just outrageous.

get some black cragar soft 8, you can get a set for like 160 from summitt racing.

Mount lights to the existing rack, put black wheels on truck. Theres plenty of threads here about putting the lights on the existing rack, though you can probably figure it out.

i have 4 lights on my stock rack and they dont wobble at all they are very strong. Use the factory one it works fine i can work on a pic if you need it...

X is looking nice, thats exactly what i did with the lights on the roof acept i have 2. im wondering about your fogs. did you relocate them or are those a different set of lights?

as far as the decision i think rims would be a better upgrade because you cna do the ligth on the stock rack.

thanks.....those fogs are piolt fogs i got at auto zone for 15 bucks and then 5 for the harness then i used a diffrent switch and had to lengthen a couple wires. I threw out my stock fogs when i pulled the lower air dam......i think i might chnage the wirring up and use the stock wires for those fogs and maby add some reverse lights...(mine are out)..lol

wow sounds like a good project. im thinking about two more lights on the 2nd cross bar that face rear and somehow hooking them up to the reverse lights. but thats for thanksgiving when i go home to see my family and more importantly my X

i dont have a second cross bar....(its just not there)....so there are holes under the bumper i might just bolt the reverse lights to.

yep. those are the ones im most likely going to get. but the lowest backspace they have on those is 4inch. how is that going to look. i want them to stick out a little but nothign too big ya know?
