Which skocks

Ok I have a 2wd 2000 explorer E/B. I need new shocks badly so I'm wondering would be better for me. I do some dirt road driving from time to time usually going out to the desert with friends but most of the driving is done on the pavement. I want to lift the X about 3".

I know of
Rancho=which model?
Bilstien=HD and 5150's could I use these or just for offroading
Edlebrock=worth the cash?

So what should I get?

Then I would suggest Clicking here for the rancho rs9000x 9-way adjustable shock.
