which subs?

Should I go with two 12'' diamond audio CM3's or should I go ahead with the JL 12w7's?

im leaning toward the JL but the only thing that concerns me is I have a 500/1 JL amp now and I would rather just buy another one like it to power two 12W7's one amp to each sub but some say to go with the 1000/1 and I dont want to do that considering i just bought a new JL amp and had it hooked up. thanks

from what i have heard the w7s are jsut overpriced great but i have heard the jl is for peopel that dont really know about stereos.....

the diamonds from what peopel here have said are good.....

tdx is much beter then the cm3. if you are going for bass i would look for more of a h2 orion,ma audio

you'll probably be paying out the @ss for the dub7's but they're nice... Depends how budget minded you are, you could get plenty more for the money that is usually spent on an all jl system.

well I had both subs in my ex and the two diamonds slammed, but they hit only a tad harder than one W7. Im not sure which way to go the guy who runs the place said if i wanted to buy the two diamonds in the box and everything he would give me 2 to 3 weeks to try em and if i dont like em or want to throw in the extra money to get the W7 i could come right back and exchange.

I dont belive this to be true JL is a very reliable brand and you get alot of bass for your buck as long as you have the right power to em. just my .02 though

alot of bass for your buck! ha, for the retail price anyways I'd be expecting a lot more outta those subs, maybe for it to sprout legs and do tasks for me!

going by ebay for a dub7 shipped 12": $450 -- thats no warranty or anything but a reputable seller, tack on $50 per sub for shipping, and wow you've spent $1,000 on two twelves!!!!
I could go on rambling what else you could get for a $1,000 just talking subs, but its easy to shop around.

If your going to compare diamond subs to the w7, then you have to compare the TDX sub from diamond not the CM3. The w7 is a great sub, but the thing is for the price you could get subs that are just as good for cheaper. The TDX is more oriented towards SQ but can still put out some numbers and from what I hear are good subs. Actually a guy on sound domain said he wants to swap out his w7 for the TDX. If you go with the w7 you wont be disappointed with it's ability, but you'll probably be disappointed with the price you'll pay for it cause they cost a lot as people already say for just one sub. You won;t be disappointed with the TDX either.

p.s. if you want a TDX or 2 let me know, I can get them cheaper then ebay

altough ive never had any expirence with diamonds i will say that for quality you cant beat JL. you pay for it but IMO its worth it, i had 2 10w0s in a box with the correct aount of airsapce(i built it to spec), and with a 350w kenwood amp i hit 134db. i felt that was pretty good seeing as the subs had a depth of around 2". i was told i could have hit 137 or so if i had the JL 250.1 amp just because its more effeciant. but i cant compare to diamond as ive had no expirence, alotgh ive had MAs, rockfords, and kicker, JL was def the cleanest but the kicker was loud as ****.
