i deliver pizza and what-not and is it better to leave my truck on( in a decent neighborhood) for about a minute and a half or shut it off and turn it back on 20 times each a day. thats about an average for me.

I would just leave it running or better yet find a old beater car and use that to deliver pizza.. Thats alot of wear and tear on a Explorer when delivering food not to mention the Explorer ain't the most fuel effecient for stop and go trips..

thats what i thought. i figured startind it just kept waisting gas but i was never sure about it.

A rule of thumb I've heard is more than about 3 minutes to shut it off.

There is a pizza man in my area that drives an 80's full size Bronco. He must make some good tips.

hey, i delivered in my x (i got some weird looks when it was covered in mud). I made enough in tips to make up for the gas by a looooong shot. unless i was in a really crappy neighborhood, i left it running all the time- even when i went back into the pizza place to pick up more pies.
