I know ha hah.. anyway... new user.. blah blah blah.. My question:

There seems to be a high pitched whine comming from the rear area of my 2001 Explorer Sport. The noise happens when just sitting there in park with the ignition on. Its particularly loud right in back. And you can hear it inside. IT almost sounds like the fuel pump when you first turn it on. ITs pretty much a constant thing. Has been going on for a month now.. Runs great and all...

Any thoughts??

Thanks.

It's the fuel pump. I can't tell you why it's making the noise though.

My 96 does the same thing, but it doesn't cause any problem.

It seems to run just fine, just quite annoying.. Anybody know of a good replacement fuel pump thats quiet and might actually be some benefit?
