After buying our new to us 2004 Mountaineer 2WD 4.6L, we have noticed a audible whine at about 35 MPH. After that, it disappears.
Truck has 80K on it. Had some previous differential work done at the dealer about 40K miles ago, according to records, and the fluid changes have been performed on schedule.
It has BFG tires on it and they look to have about 20k miles left on them. Some are more worn than others.
Do we have a rear end problem or tire problem? Thanks in advance.
