I can't really concentrate right now, on painkillers cause I'm sick and such, but, sounds like you did the wiring yourself or something. Or your ground isn't grounded very well, or something along that lines, bad wiring.

Sorry if it doesn't make any sense, i'm sure someone can help you more than I can right now.

Did you use the Ford connectors or did you just cut the wires and attach to the speakers?

i went to curcuit city and bought the adaptors to fit into the stock wiring. no cutting/rewiring was involved

Well then I have no clue, sorry I couldnt help you.

any others with the splution.

it isn't loud but really high pitched to where if the volume is low you can her it. if there's not sojution i'll just listen to music louder=)

My 94' has the same problem, as with just about any system, it's alternator noise your picking up. Except in my case it's extremely loud, it used to be like yours being only audible at low volumes, but a few months ago for some reason it got loud as ****. Any throttle input and you can hear it, and it sounds like I have Supercharger with a serious case of supercharger whine. A friend actually thought I had a supercharger installed when he was in the truck:mad: . It's my sisters now, so I don't really care lol, except for the fact she has all my engine mods and system which puts out about 1100 watts:mad:

I cannot figure out whats wrong, checked the wiring and grounds ect...nothing....but in my case it's seriously loud.

yep we have the same problem it sounds like. thanks for the help. i'll recheck the wires

Cutting into factory wiring harness doesn't create sound problems, it only make uninstalling the system more difficult. You didn't specify if you had a seperate speaker amp, or if the HU was powering the speakers, but I'd say you have a faulty ground, failing alternator regulator, or fuel pump noise. Is the whine throttle related or engine speed related? If throttle, probably fuel pump noise. If engine speed, probably alternator.

Starting a few months ago mine got extremely loud raising and lowering depending on how much throttle was used, so I'm guessing it's the fuel pump noise, but it was barely audible for 3 yrs and all of a sudden it sounds like I have a Supercharger with a bad cold:confused:

But when cruising at highway speeds it's also a constant whir comming from the speakers, also depending on the speed, so that would be Alternator noise then right?

Can't figure out what the hell is wrong, as I've checked everything.

any help for me and Saleen?

My mom's 1995 Grand Marquis started having some fuel pump noise recently. I know it's the fuel pump because it's related to throttle, not engine speed. If it's directly related to engine speed, and doesn't vary based on throttle position, it's the alternator. I believe ford has a electronic noise fuel pump filter you might want to try, search around on this board. Also, Radio Shack carries noise filters, install these as directed.

well i discovered tonight that the pass.rear door speaker has 1/2 the amount of volume as the other 3 doors. going to take a look at it on Friday and se if a wire got loose or something.

If you are running an amp then you need to get the rca's and speaker wires away from the power wires. If that still doesn't work then get a ground loop isolator. they are like 15$ If you installed a deck yourself then take it out and rout the power cable a different way. The noise is cause from the power wires becuse they are hooked to the altenator.

i agree with boomin

i bet its caused by your RCAs being too close to your power wires. I had this i moved my rcas and problem solved

i just have a factory amp.

Dave got a new Pioneer HU installed at Best Buy. The thing is that I don't know if they put in an amp by-pass or not. I helped him installing the speakers. We bought these adaptors from Circuit City and it was a direct plug-in...very straight forward installation.

About the volume thing, it maybe the factory amp is burning out or it was just a connection problem. If the factory amp is burning out, then I know for sure that the installers at Best Buy didn't install the amp by-pass.
