I am thinking about getting a kenwood tv tuner for my dvd player and I was wondering if it is really worth it to dish out the 300 bucks for one or not . Do these tv tuners get good reception ? and how happy are you with your tv tuner if you have one? thanks for the help guys !

I wished I knew. I am also planning on doing that upgrade after my audio is installed but wonder if it is worth it in the long haul.

Well, I work in the recruiting office for the Iowa national guard back home. And we took our hummer over to Virginia and had tv's, tv tuner, subs, vcr, PS2, and all that other fun stuff, but anyway, our tuner was hooked to our VCR and the antenna was in the front window. And I used to go out to the cage and watch the simpson's on my break all the time. I was impressed with the reception. I have thought about installing in my truck, but I don't spend THAT much time in my truck.

Not worth it. You only get like 4 stations. Basically if you unplugged your cable to your home tv and just ran an antenna thats all you would get in your truck. You would be better off getting a Xbox with dvd kit or ps2 for you truck.

I need to get off active duty and go in the national guard :) That sounds kick ass. Just do the recruits actually think they'll even have an eight track in a humvee.
