Little history: Have an '03 XLT 4x4 and have wanted the RCD for awhile, now that i have the money, it's discontinued. Working with two shops to lift my truck and 1 other option.

#1 - Wants to install Superlift kit, then build an engine cage and mounts to install fox 2.0 coilovers w/ resivoirs = $3500

#2 - Wants to intall spindles, then do a complete fab to install king 2.0 coilovers (no engine gage, just beefed up mounts) = $2500 and promo my truck.

#3 - Buy used (1 year old) RCD front conponents = $1500 + install.

Any ideas, insight, coments, suggestions, preferences, etc... glady accepted!

thank, i'll check out those coilovers... as for the DB = out of my price range, lol...

not to sound like an a-hole, but I can guarantee that either option 1 or 2 will grow beyond the original budget pretty fast. It's happened to me several times. For the extra $700 I would beg borrow and steal to gain 4.5" of width and have a reliable kit that has been tried and true. I mean it's just money.

If you have not already seen this thread go check it out!! The thread is all about the RCD & coilovers. I have a superlift and did the conversion. I would recommend 6.5" coil-overs. This is something you can do yourself. The only thing that needs a skilled craftsman is welding in the upper mount gussets. I had a collegue from work do it for me. If you feel like waiting I am designing a 6" front and rear with 2" but maybe 3" coilovers up front. The kit will be afordable and have different stages, so you do not have to buy everything at first. Slowly buy and upgrade as neccessary. I am hoping to have it out this coming January.
