I came across this list while looking for what company made the Westlake brand tires I bought. I can't find the link again so it is a little hard to read-----but thought it may help a few guys out when looking at cheaper tires.

Found this list--thought it may save someone a few bucks buying a house brand instead. Saved me around 300 bucks today.

Pirelli,

Scorpion's are the best all round wet traction tire I have used to date. They like mud too unlike the stock tires on the X

I have the El Chepo Pep Boys Scrambler tires on my EX because the woman had them put on when I bought my EX from her. But you still get what you pay for. They are JUNK like most other off brands.

Just because they might be made by a good company, it doensn't mean they are good tires. Each mfg makes varying lines of tires, and these off-brands are generally the cheapest of their cheap. I believe you get what you pay for with tires. Pay 20-30 more per tire and don't worry about getting stuck, wearing them out quickly, lousy balance, road noise, etc etc etc
