Ok sorry this thing somehow got double posted the first time without pics or link. I deleted the other thread.

Enjoy

Thats awesome, not like you can just stumble onto a buried Jeep everyday.

No a few months back the Jeep was part of a vehicle recovery when it got washed downstream during a river crossing. It eventually got buried by silt and then when the insurance recovery went out to get it it had washed away and no one could find it. They have been looking for it for sometime. The insurance wrote it off so it is truely a salvage vehicle and they have rights to it so I guess the guys that recoverd it own it.

That's amazing that the brakes and steering still worked after being buried like that. Looks like they had fun digging it out though :)

Holy cow!!!

Thats f'in amazing.

They should have left it there, but maybe I just don't understand.

BTW, if it's on state prop it belongs to the state and that looks like state prop to me.

Pretty cool, good parts truck.

Well it really had to do with the clubs commitment to "Tread Lightly" when wheelin.

And up here the State owns Dick!! WELL thats what everyone thinks and says. Heck the State of Alaska sells land like crazy up here. They will sell thousands of acres of land each year just for the Tax value of it so they can generate revenue. Almost everyone has a cabin for recreational use. Some co-workers just bid on and won some recreational cabin lots in the hills/rural areas. 10 acres for $3,000 and you can make Payments on it equal to 3%

Thats pretty cool, How far away from there are you Jack?

Well Jim Creek is only 5 minutes from my house

I love the picture of the engine, or lack thereof. Truly amazing.

If you go back and read somewhere there is a link to the video of the Jeep crossing the creek when it starts to float downstream its about 2 minutes.

That is crazy! I cant believe the brakes and steering still worked! I wonder how much of that truck can be salvaged.

Well I don't know the last few pics posted showed the jeep sitting on the ground w/o wheels and the guys were flexing on the hood. They dropped it at the trailhead.

That's why I asked, you have to get a flex pic on it's hood Jack!!!!

Petrified

It's too bad they don't leave it buried for future archaeologists to dig up........10,000 years later......yeah after reconstucting the skeletal structure of this quadruped we don't know what color it was or what sound it actually made but by pushing this here nasal protrusion.........HONK....HONK HONK.......it was an awesome predator!!!!

wELL my Ex isn't gonna make it. But I will talk with my buddy Chris and see if I can coax him out to flex on it with His 93 Sport with the new 6" Skyjacker lift and 33's.

He's been dying to get some action shots posted. If I get my tranny in my 93 Sport maybe I will take it out there and climb on it too!

Sheesh!! Just read through the threads on that board. Whatta a bunch of pissers and whiners!! They seem to have nothing better to do than b**ch at each other. Makes me real happy we have the community we do on this board!!

BTW, I am d**m glad they got that heep out of the river. Last thing we need is more pollution in the environment. Hopefully all the fluids hadn't leaked out yet.
