Dude! I wakeboard as well, here in CO.
I just got to the point where I can do a surface 180 consistantly and a 180 air sometimes. I have also been worknig in the wake grind.
Next is the air 360.......
For your roof rack the Yakima snowboard rack may work, depending on how much bow your wakeboard has in it.
The great thing about the Yakiima rack is the round bars, they allow you to fold your offroad lights back flat when you are not using them, and also to hold a wakeboard.
I used my Yakima rack to hold my wakeboard. I have a button down 4, which holds 4 sets of skiis, or 4 snowboards (top/bottom w/rad ready attachment).
I can hold my Hyperlite wakeboard because I am able to angle the snowboard rack to amtch the curve on the board, like this:
\ /
Meaning the front holder is bent forward and the rear is bent backwards just slightly, this way my board fits perfect upside down.
I'll take a picture next chance I get....
Cant do that with a stock luggage rack or Thule........
Let me know if anybody in CO wants to ride some Wake's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually this is the whole reason I have built up my BII, to tow my boat so I can go wakeboard........
Everything I do is so I can go wake/snow board.......
