that is nice.. but it wouldnt be practical for me since i need that rear cargo area from time to time and if i had those in my truck i would be paranoid to getting it scratched..:shifty_ey

The reason I ask WHY is this.....
Your in your vehicle.....speakers are within 2 feet to 6 feet from your ears....
WHY do people need to make it so loud that people 500feet down the road hear it?
I mean, when you make it that loud, it sounds like **** being that close to the speakers....theres no logical explaination for it.

As much time as I spend in my Mountaineer driving to & from work and running errands on the weekends I like to enjoy my music. A propperly set up system will sound better than any home stereo.
It's more about the location of the speakers. Being so close to the speakers has nothing to do with it

Well, to tell the truth,
A pipe organ can go into the sub 20hz frequency range-and with quite a bit of pressure behind it.
Sound is nothing more than air movement-
I doubt the system in the picture could even duplicate the sound of a full volume pipe organ-although it might sound like it.A scope would reveal the weaknesses-
It isn't always about being loud -accuracy is important also. This all takes quite a bit of power.
That being said-it is a very clean install.
I would mess it up in a week
I'm afraid I use my truck-so it isn't my cup of tea for that reason.

The human ear's frequency range is 20hz to 20,000hz. So even if a pipe organ can go below 20hz you can't hear it. So why waste time tring to reproduce it. Because of this music is not even recorded at those frequencies. Now some test tones are, but not music. It is clear that this system is not focused on how loud it can be, but more on sound quality. As for damage, the amp are under plexiglass. And I bet the truck owner has a carpet cover that they can place on top so they could still put stuff in the back.
