I am gonna try and get someone to build some headers for the 97+ 5.0 explorers.

What I need is to get an idea of how many people would be interested in these. I estimate a price of between $300-400. Just to be safe.

So if you are interested please chime in.

Count me inon apair of those headers.I would like mine coated. Will these headers be made of stainless steel?

The company that I am talking to is Watson Engineering. This is the company that originally made the FMS headers. So I would imagine that they would be the same as the FMS units.

If I can get a big enough response then I will be able to get them to build them.

I would be interested.let us know a price.
while i'm here,who has the best cat-back?

I went to the lcoal muffler shop and had them dual out the exhaust. He charged me $340 total taxes and all. He put on a flowmaster 50 series muffler. 2 inlets and 2 outlets and put a pipe coming out each side with a 3" chrome tip. Looks really good. I will try and post a pic for yall to see.

I am estimating the price at $300-400. I don't know what he will want to make a run on them. It may all depend on how many. The FMS units were right under $300 with jet hot coating.

P.S. How do you like your 2000 cobra?

I'm interested in a pretty decent set of headers for my '97 Mountaineer. That's pretty much the reason for still keeping the stock headers since I haven't been too happy with what's out there now.

Count me in also. Anybody think these are going to take a professional to install the headers? I definately know that the drivers side looks easy, but passenger looks like a bit*h. Think it might be easier going through the wheel well?

A number of people told me that taking the piece off inside the wheel well will allow you great access on changing the headers.

that sounds cool, let us know how they sound if you
get them done.love the cobra but don't drive it much,
it just turned 5k as i was driving to put it away for the
winter.if i keep it i will need to lower it and maybe
add a supercharger.thinking about trading it in for a
2002 Z28,SLP. that car is sick,it's really just a 4 seat
corvette.

Is this all the interest that anyone has for these headers?

94cobra, any update yet?? I am sure there are a few more people that are interested. I think you may want to start a tread in the Group Purchase area. Keep us posted.

I might would be interested in the headers depending on how they are set up. I am Using an X 5.0 motor for my 5.0 swap.
