Don't anybody yell too loudly at me, but in searching for our next 4dr 4x4 (in addition to, not in replacment of, our 98 Explorer), I subscribed to the Disco list. Needless to say, they love BFG AT KO's as much as anyone, to wit:
>>>
The BFG AT tyres didn't experience any punctures although they did
get quite nicked by the hundreds of kilometres of sharp gibber stone
in various parts of the outback.
Sand dune driving was good but the Disco drank like a sailor then at
around 22 litres per 100 kms. I used 160 litres of unleaded to cross
the Simpson Desert (i.e. 3 x 20 litre jerry cans in addition to the
standard tank) so the next time I do this trip, I'll bring along 5
jerries for a bit of safety margin.
>>>
If you ever wondered why people swear by, rather than at, their AT KO's, just a little reminder.
Best,
Brian in CA
