So I took my Ex to the dealership because no one else around here would touch it because it was almost 200,000 miles on it and from what I can tell original plugs and wires.

They had to boar out 3 plugs and are still working on #6 (have been for 1.5 days now).

The total damage so far including all that and torching off my old rear shocks and replacing them with the Bilsteins I provided is $475 OTD.

Is this THAT bad of a price?

Not yet, depends on how much longer they take on that #6. It's the labor that kills. If they are an honest dealership then they will get it done and OTD. Some shady dealers (cough spradley --- ferd, cough cough) have been known to milk the easiest of jobs.

I have found them to be pretty good. They have had it since last Wednesday and he was complaining about how much time it took to remove the old shocks because they were SUPER rusted, and that price was a firm quote for "one hour labor" hahah.... Oh well, if I would have tried to do this at home I believe that I would have been SOL.

all i have to say is that if they are charging you by the book, you should walk up to the tech, and give him something. after all, the poor ******* is losing his shirt.

That fee seems reasonable for the work done.

Good luck ....

They broke the #6 plug and it will not be done until tomorrow afternoon.....:thumbdwn:

But the price is still the same

I would agree. Take care of your dealer tech and he'll continue to take care of you.

cough x 100

You need to ask what he drinks and get him a bottle-12 pack or case if it is soda.

So then what you are trying to say is that I am getting a really good deal? Maybe there is a reason why I keep coming back to him...

That's a pretty good tech you have. I would have probably tossed the heads with all that work needing to be done.

haha, he just called me and told me it was done, then I asked him to do an oil change (full synthetic) and a tranny flush... hahah. He didn't sound to happy, but the grand total is $546.18.

Can you ask him is trick for getting out the broken plugs?

Give him something nice when you go to pick it up. You got a smoking deal.

hahha, So I got the little sheet back after the oil change that says all the things that "should" be done, and I think he was afraid to give it to me... it said that the power steering fluid, brake fluid, and coolant all needed to be flushed!

haha, oh well, I can do that myself. What do you use to get the fluid out? I have herd some people using like the kitchen basters, what are you suppose to use?
