58 1/8th inchs

What is the explorer widths?

The 94 and earlier axles were 1 and 1/5 inches narrower than the 94 + ranger

Flange to flange

I measured mine when I was investigating the axle swap so that I could make sure the newer axles were the same width. I have it written down somewhere. I'll try to find it. It seems like it was 58 5/8.

Just wanted to Clarify....rear axle

I found it. This is from rim mounting surface to rim mounting surface. It's 59 - 59.125. When I measured the best I could flange to flange, it came out 59.125. When I broke it into parts to check the measurement, it measured 8.75 from flange to outside of perch, 41.5 from outside of perch to outside of perch and then another 8.75 from outside of perch to flange on the other side. This totals 59. So, I figured that was close enough. It's one of those two numbers. Then, after the swap, I laid a straight edge across both rear tires and measured between them. Then I did the same thing on the front. The measurements were identical, so the newer axles with the discs have the same width as the older axles with the drums.

Hope this helps.
