I picked up a wig wag headlight controller at the Pa fire Expo last sat and im looking to put it in my Ex. i want to hook them up to a pair of aftermarket fog lights that are in my grill.and i also want them to control the OEM fog lights. can i do this so that if i hit a switch to turn the wigwag on the lights will work w/o haveing to turn the head lights on. basicly i just want the OEM and the aftermarket lights to work off of 1 switch. thanks for any help

yes. do you have any instructions? or use your model number and look on the mfg web site.
i hooked up whelen wig wags to my high beams. you can run them with or without the lights on.

you so are saying to hook the wires up as specified by the instructions and that will over ride the high beam /fog light conflict???

my galls wigwag controller supplied power to the lights when using the flashers; with the controller off power is supplied normally. so yes, the wigwags will work regardless of factory relays.

you would need to splice in a relay so when you turn on your fogs it doesnt override your wigwags, as i beleive most wigwag units are overriden by turning on your high beams - i would imagine if they were hooked up to the fogs, they would also be overridden if they sensed a voltage on the fogs.

ok i know this is an easy one but my brain isnt working, there is an orange cable off the controller that is hooked to the power switch. how do i hook up the switch, do i hook it up to a power supply or a ground.

The controller should have 6 wires:

red to power (through a fuse)
black to ground
4 to the lights. (mine were w,bwn,gr,yel)

what is the make/model of your flasher? I can post a schematic(picture) of how it is supposed to be hooked up.

My wig-wag only has 5 wires
Red to +12v switch
White constant +12v
Green ground
Yellow & Blue to highbeam

I made a Pic of how mine is wired if anybody wants it let me know

yeah could you post that crazycow

silenze,

Which wires are the wires for the highbeams? I'm trying to hook up wig wags as well.

Thanks!

blue and yellow

ok so i got the wig wag to work on the aftermarket fogs that i installed in ym grill, but when they lit they werent bright at all. they are 55w bulbs i believe is that too much for the wig wag controller to light up if so is there any way i can boost the power short or adding a capacitator.

the next question is i want to wig/wag my factory fog lights. but i also want them to work normally. how do i rewire a '95 so that i can use the button on the radio bezel to control (just on and off normal use) the fogs lights when ever i want (no lights, parking, low or high). please dont re direct me to other discussions i read them and i still dont under stand how to do it this way.
thanks
