Wilderness AT-III not covered under recall

Just found out today that the Wilderness AT-III's I have on my truck are not being recalled. My tires have the same "VD" code, which means that the came from the same factory as the defects. After talking with Firestone they tell me that the AT-III's are a heavier tire and are SAFE if you can get that ****. I told them I find it hard to believe that all of the light truck tires comming out of that plant are piece of **** EXCEPT the ones I have. After some choice words about the product that they sell, they will give customers an adjusted trade-in on new tires under there "Customer Satisfaction" policy. Hope this helps.
