Hey ya'll I called the Ford garage where I had taken my Explorer back on the 15th to have the diagnostic done and they pulled the codes P1131 and P0401, and said my O2 Sensor (Downstream), IAC, and DPFE needed replaced. Well I know some of you had mentioned the "Ford Emissions Warranty" So I called and ask about it, and they guy told me that ony the Catalytic Converter was covered under that warranty, none of the sensors such as IAC, DPFE, MAF, O2's, ERG, IAT...ETC....

He told me the Emissions warranty was for 8 yrs/80,000 mile, but not for any of the sensors, anyone know anything about the Emissions Warranty, I would think since there are emissions sensors they would be covered.

read your warranty

That's right. not all parts are covered by 8/80,000 miles emission warranty. Some parts or sensor are covered 5/50,000 miles and some are parts are additional 2 years/24,000 miles from the original 3/36,000 miles warranty. How many miles you got on yours?

Its a 2002. with barely over 60K.

If I can ask, Ford garage pulled a code of P1131, Said that was O2 downstream sensor, but EECV Error codes says that code is O2 Upstream Bank 1, Which is bank one? The one they told me to replace was the one under the drivers side door. Is bank one, up front on the passenger side or drivers?

Thanks alot!

The thing is, you can't be just replacing parts, somehow need to diagnose too why that parts failed.
