I know I read the sticky and the smallest size people have used is 16" on 3rd gen explorers but does anyone know if 15" wheels will fit or if anyone has tried? Thanks.

You can make them fit, but I think the v8s had bigger bakes hence fore larger wheels? I got the stock 2nd gen to fit(15") with 1" adapters and grinding on the bottom of the spindles.

Thanks buddy! I can't decide whether to go with 16",15", or 17" wheels on my expo which is why i ask. After seeing pictures of this ranger with 15" wheels it had me drooling
and this last one i could not resist... his suspension set up is so nice... I like how he went all out and did better brakes and hubs
The white 05 Explorer belongs to me. The rims are 15x8 Mickey Thompson Classic II's with 235/75/15 Goodyear Silent Armor's. The rims will fit but I was using .25'' spacers. I also have the Rancho Quick Lift on it. I just sold the rims and tires this past saturday and went back to 16's. I now have a set of 16x7 steelies from a 04 Crown Vic with 245/75/16 Goodyear MT/R's. I will post pic's soon.
