You are kidding right?

OP-If he can get 26's under his mustang, then you should be able to as well:(

ok now, thats a lil to much, i like big rims, but not to the point were you have to make major modifications.

Now don't take this the wrong way, but you are a minority with your wheel choices here. Hell, I have had a person or two say my 20's were too much. In my opinion, the MAX rim that looks good and still allows some function is a 22" rim. After that, it goes downhill. The sad thing is, a good set of 26's with tires may cost more than what your ex is worth. So if you owe anything on it, I'd put the money towards paying it off and being an 02'(like mine) you have some headaches coming your way:(

I don't have anything positive to say about 26's and therefore I won't say anything more. But if you are having trouble with the ex running or curious about visual mods, I'd be glad to lend a hand;) Also, welcome aboard EF!

well then i guess im a have to go with 24s, but what did you mean about headaches coming my way??,
and the car is payed off.

02's have their share of problems. Mostly the tranny's going out, rearends howling and leaking and wheel-bearings going out to name the main issues. But treat it right and maintain it, you'll be okay.

have you any problem on yours, i havent on my yet, the only thing wrong with it is the 4 wheel module whent out, but from that its all ok

I have had the transfercase rebuilt, transmission rebuilt, replaced front wheel bearings and have a leaky rearend that hums nicely:) Even with those problems, it's worth it because I Iove this thing too much! But it would be paid off if I didn't have to go through that.

What year is the explorer.24s can fit jus fine. U jus have to make sure u get the right size tire. 255 30 24. Or 275 25 24. I perfer 30s that what I have 25 series to darn.small. For the 26s they can fit no cut no rub no lift, but u gotta have the right tire 275 25 26 or 255 30 26. Jus gotta know ur dimensions.

Its a 2002 xls v6 4x4, I currently have 22s on it, on some 255/30/22, I haven't seen an 3rd gen explo on 26s, but will i run a risk of messing up my trany or anything else if I throw on 26s?
