will a 2.9 intake setup fit a 4.0

Another thing I just thought of. if it does fit, the distributor gear will need to be swapped with the cam sensor gear as the cam material is different between the two motors. The 2.9 uses a soft cast iron flat tappet cam and the 4.0 uses a steel roller tappet cam. The two gears are not compatible with the other cam.

well the bII is still my dd, thank goodness i carpool to work, no when i said its frozen it literally was in my driveway in 2degree weather, the throttle frozen wide open haha. got it to run but yeah i can't take it apart right now. the 4.0 on the other hand is on an engine stand in my garage so i could prob take it down w/out trouble. guess i didn't realize the diff on the intakes for 4.0's, ill have to see what i have goin on.
