will a brush guard fit on a 94 limited?

most places say brush guards wont fit a limited, can you make one fit without major cutting, bodywork etc? whats the difference?

The front bumper is different. Almost any guard that would fit a 1st gen made now days would bolt to the bumper bolts on the regular bumper. The limited doesn't have these on the outside of the bumper. The shape is also different for the cross bars. I'm sure you could make it work with some work though.

I recall back in the day when I had my tow hooks with my stock bumper, you needed to cut a lot of plastic. Depending on what color your truck is, the inner plastic will still be like a green. I'd say if you wanted to do something with a stock limited front bumper, perhaps a prerunner lightbar or something that bolts to the top of the bumper.

Center guard only

Any ideas about who makes a center guard to mount lights onto?
(I don't like the look of the headlight guards - just want the center piece)

I think the main problem with Limiteds is the valence...the part where the fog lights are. That gets in the way of most grille guard setups. Dannyboy has avoided that problem because his truck no longer has it's valence.

dozer was going to buy my brushgaurd off of me, and mine is an XLT his is a limited.

it mounts using an L bracket on top of and underneath the bumper, dosent use any prexisting holes. Is the countor of the bumpers different, like if you were to look at it from the side, because mine is cut to fit that contor.

Basically he wants to know if he should get mine for 100 and see if it works.

Where does it bolt to? The frame? If it L's down under the bumper & bolts to the frame he will need to cut 2 slots into the lower valance to get it through. I did this with my B2 that had the sport valance on it. It was fine.
The top I'm not sure about. Depends on how it mounts.

it bolts directly to the bumper, 2 l brackets on either side on top of the bumper, and two firectly under those

you need to drill holes in the bumper and bolt the bracket to it, the gaurd only goes to the bottom of the bumper.

After looking at your pics I don't think it will fit a limited without alot of cutting & messing with it.
