will a valve body fix it

About 2 months ago my ex stopped going into second gear im wondering if i replace the valve body will that fix it. and how much of a pain is it to replace the valve body

Ahh it depends on if its the cause. It could be a bad solenoid, maybe a band, etc.. Better to try and diagnose it before putting parts into it. Doing a valve body isn't that hard.. You just need to take your time..

well anyone know a shop in chicago cuz im trans stupid. one thing i didnt mention is that my od light started flashing when i dropped second gear
