ok, i bought a helper spring kit that was exactly what I was looking for to put on my '91 Sport. The only problem is that the helpers mount underneath the leafs and two u bolts bolt on near the center, and the shock mount plate is in the way. I want to use these helper springs i got, so i was thinking if it was possible to take off the mountig plate, put the helper right underneath the leafs, then put the plate back on with longer u bolts. Will that be ok? I will be getting new rar shocks anyway if shock length is a factor. I am also getting spring spacers for the front to even out the ride. I would appreciate any advise I could get.
