will the speedo be off..if at all?

im goin to be putting 31x10.50 tires on soon and i want to know if i will need to reprogram my speedo? i have 28's on now and everyhting is right..but with 3inches more screw with the speedo?

you should probably go to a speedo gear 1 tooth smaller.

Yes it will. You'll have to save up and drop $11 on a new speedo gear! Or just deal with it. It will be about 3mph off at 60 I think.

Your local Ford Dealer. It's a 5 minute deal to pull the gear out, see the color, then get the next step up or down.

On your transfer case. It's a little sensor all by itself held in with a single bolt.

ohh easy..what color do i need?(perfect im going to the dealer after school)

Depends on what you have now. You have to either determine the color of the one you have.. or there is a chart somewhere that you use your gear ratio and stock tire size to determine what you have. Then just add or subtract teeth and it will be a different color.

Now when I went to the dealer, I HAD to know what color I needed.. Cause they couldnt tell me the teeth count or anything. So research the heck out of it here before you going telling them you need a 21T gear.

Look kid I have like 5 speedo gears sitting around let me know and I will hook you up with one for free. Heck I will also help you install it. Only takes a few minutes especially if you have your own garage.
