with heat?

Just ordered mine, $55.89 each shipped.

the lights are about the same as previous models...

(I gotta split - time to go "shopping" :shifty_ey (jk) I'm going to sleep

Just power with puddle lights.

WOW DONNER LOOKS GREAT!!!

Hey even though i have an 06 i am still thinking about doing this. Ford sells them with different covers, ie painted and black plastic. I was thinking about buying the painted ones and replacing mine. I think the painted mirrors are standard on the limited or EB, I am not sure if its both.

You know, we have to add the arrow/signal lights :)

Did you lift yours already?

I can't recall... is yours lifted now?

LOL... I was just thinking of that. and turn them puddle lights to LED puddle lights that are SUPER BRIGHT!!!

I WISH<<<

HEY, I just bought it used January 11th. Slow down<<< HAHA
I bought the 75,000 mile warranty and i onlly have 34,200 so i don't want to mess that up just yet. Maybe later down the road. For now its the little things like the mirrors, and maybe some better lighting.

Donner, is the visibility any better? Or does it stay the same? I was suprised with my Explorer's side views, I thought they were on the small side.. Also, if my current lights don't have puddle lights and heat, is my car equipped for it? Or if I got mirrors with the feature would I need to do some of my own wiring?

Right now, I have one of each mirror on the Ex. I'm going to wait until the 2nd arrives today before I check visibility (because I use one of those small mirrors too).

As far as puddle and heat, the only way to test is to plug the pigtail into a mirror that has those features - puddles are automatic, but heat is an option, I believe, that has a power switch in the vehicle.

I wouldn't be surprised the the truck was already wired for those features and they worked with the mirrors that had them.

Ooh.. new mod idea.

One thing I didn't understand about your post, Donner -- does the connector match up between the 3rd gen and 4th gen mirrors? Or was the "pigtail" you mentioned an adapter harness to convert the 3rd gen to the 4th gen?

Great, another way to waste more money! (not that wasting money on my truck's a bad thing!)

really....that's cause I bought them. ....lol

Hold let me look real quick
HERE

I don't find heated but I'm not sure I've used mine in 5 years in Phoenix.

Pigtail is the connector from the vehicle to the mirror. It will disconnect from the existing mirror and pop right in to the new one... easy!
