i have a 98 ranger with a 2.5l its 2 wheel drive and it is a auto matic
will this transmission work in my truck??

Im not sure, but I dont think so since it says
"FIT 99-01 4X2 RANGER AND MAZDA B2500 WITH A 2.5L ENGINE"

But whats up with this:
"BRAND NEW!!!

4R44E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

NEW WITH TORQUE CONVERTERS"

then a little farther down:
"TORQUE CONVERTER NOT INCLUDED - UNIT PICTURED IS WHAT WILL SHIP!"

What trans do you have? If its the "4R44E" then it should...

the ranger station says that the 95 to 2000 has 4r44e is it marked on the tranny some where or in the truck some where

Im honestly not sure if its marked anywhere...im assuming its probably on the trans somewhere, but someone with more knowledge will chirp in soon with what trans you have

I'm just another guy that is not 100% sure either, but I tried to cross reference the transmission listed on fleabay using car-part.com. It says it will not fit. Again, I am not sure about it, maybe someone with first hand knowledge will clear the air.

I did a google search for 4r44en which is the number posted in the eBay listing and nothing comes up so I think the n might be a typo.

Use the "ask seller a question" button and ask them what does the added "N" mean. Also ask them , since they are a transmission shop, if it will fit your truck. If they want to sell the transmission, they would tell you if it does.
